23/02 :
Je lis beaucoup en ce moment ! Je continue toujours la saga de Drizzt pendant mes horaires de lecture normaux, dirons-nous. J'écoute le Seigneur des Anneaux en livre audio avec mon compagnon, et des fois on écoute des pistes chacun de notre côté. Moi c'est surtout quand je peins, et j'ai tellement peint dernièrement que j'avais hésité à commené un livre audio rien qu'à moi pour qu'il n'ait pas à trop rattraper, mais ces derniers jours j'ai ralenti sur le temps créatifs, donc je verrais ça plus tard.Et pendant la journée, j'essaie de grapiller quelques moments pour lire un recueil de nouvelles Warhammer 40k (Craignez l'alien). Je n'ai pas lu autant de livres différents depuis que j'ai 14 ans.

12/02 :
Nous avons fini Rogue Trader et c'était super chouette. Ca explique très bien le lore et ça permet d'avoir de bonnes bases pour pouvoir l'explorer davantage par la suite. Comme toujours après, ça laisse un grand vide ... Donc pour y remédier, comme à mon habitude j'écoute en boucle la bande originale. J'en ai presque fini avec mon second chevalier, et j'apprends à sculpter. En ce moment, je me suis mise au défi de sculpter une tête pour une figurine de 28mm par jour pendant une semaine. Jusqu'à présent, elles sont toutes toujours trop grosses, mais on y va petit à petit. Aussi, j'ai quelques idées de nouvelles pages pour ce site (que je n'avais pas touché depuis près d'une semaine), mais mes journées sont pleines !

06/02 :
Mon janvier a été très lent, je n'ai rien fini, pas même un livre. J'ai reçu ma milliput et je l'ai essayé. Ca ne ressemble à rien, c'est très différent d'absolument tout. J'ai commencé par une toute petite grenouille. Et je dois maintenant attendre que ça sèche, alors avec le reste de préparation, j'ai formé quelques petites boules pârce que j'espère apprendre à sculpter des têtes? Peut-être que c'est comme ça que je dois l'utiliser : commencer plusieurs projets en même temps pour avoir toujours une utilité avec la préparation restante ? Donc, je devrais commencer à préparer les squelettes pour le corgi and ma participation au Smashbash ? Il faudrait aussi que je finisse le gobelin que j'ai commencé en fimo un jour. Ce qui me pertube c'est que la milliput n'est pas très collante et du coup ma tactique de préparer un corps en polystirène exttrudé ne peut pas marcher...

02/02 :
J'ai commencé une jupe longue en décembre. J'ai cousu la fermeture éclair et ça a gondolé. J'ai lu, compris mais je ne savais toujours pas ce que je voulais faire. Je ne voulais vraiment pas recoudre la fermeture donc, si j'y retouchais, ce serait pour la remplacer par des boutons. Je n'y avais pas touché depuis. Il y a deux nuits de ça, j'ai rêvé que j'essayais ma jupe et je me disais "en fait, ça va, ça gondole pas tant que ça". Bon bien sûr c'était un de mes rêves, donc la jupe était recouverte de sorte de plumes volumineuses ... Mais le lendemain, je me suis décidée à ré-essayé ma jupe... et en fait ça va... Donc aujourd'hui j'ai découpé le tissus pour les volants et j'espère demain faire les ourlets.

23/02 :
I'm reading so much lately ! I'm still on the Drizzt saga for my regular reading hours. I'm listening to the Lord of the Rings audiobook with my partner, sometimes we listen to some tracks on our own sides. I do it especially when I paint, and I painted so much lately that I hesitated starting another audiobook so he dosen't have to catch up so much, but the last few days I haven't done anything creative, so I'll start one later. And during the days I try to grab some time here and there to read a collection of short Warhammer 40k stories (Fear the Alien). I haven't read that many different books at the same time since I was 14.

12/02 :
We have finished Rogue Trader and it was so so good. It made a great job explaining the lore and giving an entry point to further it. As always, it leaves such a void after. So, as my usual mourning, I just listen to the soundtrack on repeat. I'm almost done with my second knight, and I am learning how to sculpt. I have the plan of doing one head for a 28mm figurine for a whole week. So far they all are too big, but baby steps are in oder. Also, I got some ideas for new pages on this website that I haven't touched in a week, but my days are full.

06/02 :
I got a slow january and didn't finish anything, not even a book. I received my milliput and started stuff. It feels very different from ... anything really. I started sculpting a tiny tiny frog. To make the most of it, I'll have to wait for it to cure. So with the remaining paste I started to makes balls so I can try to sculpt some heads. Maybe that's how I'll be using it : starting many projects at the same time so I'll always have something to do with the leftover ? So I should be preparing the skeletons for the corgi I want to try and my smashbash entry ? Also I think I should also finish my fimo goblin sometime. Oh, and the milliput isn't sticky at all, so I can't use it as I planned to do : with XPS foam as the core of the sculpture.

02/02 :
I was sewing a long skirt in december. I sewed the zipper and ended it in frustration as the fabric was bulking. I read why, learned why, but still didn't know what to do. Couldn't be bothered to sew it all again so I dediced if I was gonna touch it again, I'll strip it off and put buttons. I didn't touch it since then though. Two nights ago, I dreamt of my skirt. I dreamt I put it on and tought "Oh we don't see the bulk actually, it's not that bad!". Well, of course it's my dream, so the skirt was all covered in some kind of feathers. The next day I decided to try my skirt. And it turns out the bulk is not that bad. So today I worked on it a bit. I cut some fabric to make the ruffles and hoping tomorrow I'll make the hem of them.

Deuxième balade de l'année sous un magnifique soleil.

26/01 :
Aujourd'hui, j'ai commencé à sculpter une otarie. D'abord j'ai essayé uniquement en fimo, puis j'ai fait une armature en aluminium. Ca n'a pas marché. J'ai fini par écouter mon instint et fait une armature en polystirène extrudé et ajouté par la suite de la fimo. Je savais dès le début que j'allais finir dans une impasse. Si on peut effectivement mettre le poly au four, il se rapetisse s'il n'est pas entièrement recouvert de fimo ou d'alu. J'aurai dû utiliser de la green stuff dessus, mais bon. J'ai préféré faire de la fimo et j'ai tout recouvert d'une couche de colle pour que ça solidifie tout ça. Enfin, j'espère. J'ai commencé à me renseigner sur la milliput, mais visiblement, la green stuff reste reine pour les détails. Je ré-essairai, j'imagine. J'ai l'impression d'y voir plus clair avec la sculpture, un peu en tout cas.

22/01 :
Aujourd'hui je voulais faire de la green stuff, en particulier pour faire une petite grenouille pour un de mes chevaliers et un poulpe pour un de mes space marines. Mais quelle galère. J'ai fini par l'utiliser pour faire quelques barnacles pour mon annihilator. Je pense essayer la grenouille en fimo plutôt et peut-être le poulpe. Peut-être devrais-je essayer la milliput ?

21/01 :
Les règles pour Old World sont sorties, j'ai hâte de les étudier.

18/01 :
J'ai commencé à écouter ele livre audio du Seigneur des Anneaux, en peignant. C'est chouette. Aussi, j'ai enfin fini mon premier projet de l'année qui n'est qu'une petite peinture d'un capybara.

09/01 :
Smashbash me fait de l'oeil, j'attends la nouvelle édition avec impatience.

Second walk of the year under a bright sun.

26/01 :
So today I started sculpting a sea dog. Tried pure fimo, then made the core in aluminium foil. Didn't work. So I followed my gut and made the core in XPS foam and added some fimo. Now, I knew i would be in an dead-end. You can actually put the XPS in the oven, but unless it is fully covered in polymer clay or aluminium foil, it will shrink. I should have done some green stuff on it, but didn't want to. So I did do the fimo, but I'm putting some coat on it with glue. Hoping it will work. I've also started to learn about milliput, but for finer detail people go with green stuff anyway. I'll try my next one with it, I guess. Maybe I'm starting to find some nice sculpting routine ?

22/01 :
Today I wanted to do some green stuff, especially making a tiny frog for ine of my knight and an octopus for one of my space marine. But ... oh whoa green stuff is my nemesis. I ended up using my batch to do some barnacles for my annihilator. I guess I'll try the frog and maybe the octopus in fimo and work from there. Maybe I should try milliput ?

Old World rules are out. Can't wait to study it.

18/01 :
I've started to listen to the Lords of the Rings audiobook while painting. It's nice. Also, I finally finished the first project of the year, which is just a tiny capybara painting.

Feels weird to know that the more I learn about the Old World, the less I am excited.Anyway, just sold old stuff for 78euros that were supposed to go to my bretonnian army. I may or may not buy the bretonnian box set, but in the end I hope it will still go towards buying an army that I'll use some day. Also, with the pressure of timing gone, I'll paint my knights as perfect as I can. Also I repainted the face of my sci-fi bust. Can't believe I'm starting from zero yet again !

04/01 :
So many knights actually have more problems than I thought ! As I was quite overwhelmed with Moultevents and started sketching my White Knight, it turned out he was still having some sprue on his helmet, the remains of an old seat glued on his butt, a bit of his antler is broken, and also a really big chunk of his sword ! It's gonna be green stuff time I guess. Also, I struggled to find a good red scheme for Moultevents, I guess I found it!

02/01 : Yesterday I started Rogue Trader, the video game and it was so so so pretty ! I just love it when a piece of media make your brain buzz with so many ideas of stuff to do. I already got two ideas of little dioramas I wish to make, and maybe this year I'll find the time to make one!

I never cared much for New Year's resolutions. The most serious ones, you never keep them throughout the year. So, let's try to make some fun one. In 2024, I plan to embrace my secret love of hats and try to wear more of them! They usually give me a headache after some time (even the loosiest one, like the beanies), but that doesn't mean I can't wear them, just until they give the headache ! Hopefully, I'll try to make some also, the silly ones. I've been wanting a bard's hats and an archer hat for quite some time now. Let's make one and wear it !

In 2023, I started replacing most of my time on social media by doing something else : read a few pages, doodle, start a new task, coding this site (!)... I honestly plan to continue that !
